Welcome to the BuzzWisely Blog
Why we're starting this blog, what you'll find here, and how to use it. Written for small-business owners who are evaluating AI receptionists — not for SEO bots.
Why a blog now
There is a lot of AI receptionist content online. Most of it is thin: keyword-stuffed listicles, vendor comparisons that conveniently rank the vendor doing the comparison at #1, and AI-generated filler that says nothing specific. Almost none of it is written for the actual buyer — the solo plumber evaluating whether their phone bill is killing their margins, the dental office manager deciding between hiring a third front-desk person or trying an AI, the lawyer wondering whether their voicemail is losing them cases.
This blog is for that buyer.
What you’ll find here
We write across four categories, and we publish only when we have something concrete to say:
- Industry guides — long-form practical guides per vertical (dental, legal, plumbing, restaurants, etc.). What the work actually looks like, what AI receptionists can and can’t do, what to look for when evaluating.
- How-to posts — specific operational walkthroughs. How to forward your office line, how to set up your first integration, how to read your call transcripts for missed opportunities.
- Comparisons — honest comparisons of AI receptionist tools (including ours). When a competitor is better at something, we’ll say so.
- Product updates — what we shipped, why we shipped it, and how it affects you.
You won’t find: “10 reasons AI is changing the phone industry,” AI-generated thought leadership, or anything that wouldn’t survive being read by your CFO.
How to use the blog
If you’re evaluating BuzzWisely specifically, the pricing page and the interactive ROI calculator will tell you more than any blog post.
If you’re trying to figure out whether AI receptionists in general are right for your business, start with the industry guide for your vertical — the dental, legal, plumbing, and HVAC pages each have a full long-form practical guide built in.
The blog itself is for the things that don’t fit on either of those: monthly notes from the front desk, opinions on where the category is going, and the specific operational questions you can’t get good answers to elsewhere.
What we won’t do
A few honest commitments:
No fake urgency. No “limited time,” no “act now,” no countdown timers. If our product is right for you, it’ll still be right for you next week.
No fabricated stats. Where we cite a number, we cite the source. Where we estimate, we say “estimate” and show the math. Our ROI calculator’s methodology section is the template for how we talk about numbers everywhere.
No AI-only posts. We use AI tools the same way we’d expect our readers to. Every post is reviewed and edited by a human who has actually run a small business.
What’s next
The next few posts will be industry-specific guides — starting with the verticals where we already have the most pattern recognition (dental, plumbing, legal). After that we’ll work through comparisons and how-tos based on what readers ask us about.
If you have a specific question you want covered, the contact form routes directly to the editorial inbox. Real responses, no autoresponder.
Statistics, dollar figures, ROI multipliers, and competitor pricing cited in this post are estimates. Sources include published industry surveys, vendor pricing pages on the date noted, US Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, and BuzzWisely's own operating numbers. Ranges vary by source, methodology, region, and business mix. Treat them as directional, not as guaranteed outcomes.
Frequently asked questions.
- Why are you starting a blog?
- Most AI receptionist content online is either thin SEO bait or enterprise-focused. We're building this for small-business owners — solo plumbers, 2-doctor practices, family restaurants — who are evaluating whether AI receptionists actually fit their workflow.
- How often will you publish?
- One to two posts per month. We'd rather publish less and have each post be worth your time than churn out weekly filler.
- Can I suggest a topic?
- Yes. Email us at the address on the contact page with what you want covered. Real questions from real owner-operators are exactly what we're looking for.
- Will posts use AI?
- We use AI to assist with drafts and outlines (the same way we expect our readers to use AI). Every post is reviewed and edited by a human before it ships. Our voice is our own.
